Lame
I had been all excited since I joined the Celiac Disease Foundation and they told me that the difference in cost of my food from normal food is tax deductible, since it's the only treatment for my disease. I just did my taxes and it turns out that the standard deduction works out better for me than the itemized. So, essentially I have to take the hit on my food costs.

In related news I spent ~6% of my gross income on medical expenses/food.

At least I get a decent refund this year, that softens the blow.
