3pm with Heidi
I had my first professional massage today to try to help my migraines. Well, specifically, the migraine I've had for the last week and a half. It was delightful and helped, I think. It's not gone completely but part of the pain just feels like muscle soreness from working the knots out. Huzzah! I just did a half an hour massage targeted to my neck, head and shoulders but I'll have to spring for a full body, hour-long massage sometime.

I'm looking forward to not having a migraine again. I've been exhausted, irritable and unable to think for 11 days. The massage was very helpful, I highly recommend them in general and for migraines.

Charities are so picky
I bought a new couch and chair recently. I'm getting a new job, well, hired as a colleague for the job I'm contracting at, and they'll be moving me whenever they actually give me a written offer on the job. So I decided to get new furniture now! Below are photos of my old living room and my new living room. My new couch is younger than I am! Huzzah!

Actually my old couch served me well. I've logged many nap hours on it. I've finally scheduled, although somewhat tentatively, a pick up to donate it to the local Kiwanis. It is SO HARD to give away furniture. The Salvation Army needs two items or more before they'll pick furniture up, Friends In Deed doesn't answer when I call or have voicemail, and St. Vincent de Paul can't store furniture. Egads.

Anyway, I really like my new couch and chair. IKEA may also have a matching swivel, reclining rocker in stock at some point but I'm not going to hold my breath. The new couch has been great, as was the old, for all the naps I've been taking recently. I've had a migraine since Sunday. Last Sunday. And several days of the two weeks before that. It sucks. A lot. Many people who get migraines have been feeling it lately though so it might be at least partially weather related. Still, lame. I'm keeping a food journal to help me figure out if they're related to what I eat, how much I sleep or how much I exercise though.

Oh, I also bought an additional dresser and a night stand but haven't assembled them yet. I'm trying to figure out if I should assemble them and use the dresser to help while I'm sorting through clothes for Goodwill or if I should just have them moved in the boxes.

Landmark?
Last week I went to CT on the corporate shuttle to check out the new space we'll occupy with my coworker and boss. It was fairly productive although there wasn't time to see the whole site. There was time to eat lobster, crab, lobster bisque and fried oysters though. Delicious!

Anyway, up the quaint New England street from the restaurant was this:

Wow that movie was trrble. But, you know, I did keep watching. On TV. I was bored.

Julia Roberts sucks.
