Oh we're past the line
I found a link to this travesty in my inbox just now. I quietly rejected the skinny jeans and gaucho pants. I openly hated the leggings and the oh my god capri-length leggings. But this is too far. Is it 1992? Is the next step to take that horrendous denim jumpsuit fad and start making them in colors? Or how about the mom jeans trend? Ugh.

I'm not very stylish. At least, I'm not very trendy. I realize those are different things but my budget doesn't allow me much latitude in the stylish department and, really, most days I'm just in the mood for jeans and a t-shirt. But I think I look nice. I rarely wear sweats in public unless I'm actually working out. And most importantly I don't look back at old photos and say what was I thinking. If I'm going to wear something noticeable it's going to be more Audrey Hepburn than Madonna at various hideous sartorial incarnations.

I think that gets to the meat of my distaste with the many horrible fashion trends. They're so prevalent. People just look like an idiot because some magazine told them to. A quick scan of campus reliable shows the same girl wearing the same clothes in every classroom and coffee shop. If you're going to look like an idiot, at least make it of your own design.
